Prosports – Summer sports coaching roles – work experience placements and summer workers 2023 intake


This a paid role £50 – £75 per day. With opportunities to progress in the company with further work in school holidays and to get coaching qualifications paid for. Desirable but not essential – DBS certificate/safeguard trained.

Overall, Purpose

To make a proactive and flexible contribution to the organisation through:

Supporting our lead coaches to deliver summer sporty holiday clubs or Football training camps

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

To provide an excellent level of service applicable to all areas of care and welfare within the organisation. This may include:

  • Setting up equipment
  • Supporting groups of children
  • Learning and delivering sports activities
  • Being a positive and enthusiastic role model
  • Communicating well to children, staff members and parents

Expected Working Hours
Monday 3rd to Friday 7th July – Monday- 8.30am- 3pm

Generic Duties and Responsibilities

Rory’s Rugby renaissance

We are very pleased to announce that Rory S. in year 12 has been selected for development training with Scottish Exiles in July. Rory has been a stalwart of school rugby teams over the years through thick and thin. His hard, firm but fair approach is in keeping with the ethos of the game. As a second generation Southam college player, Rory has maintained family tradition and has kept the spirit of Rugby running throughout his school career. His dedication has been second to none. We know that Rory will take on board all advice on his development and wish him luck for any future success. “Fortan leat” as they say in the highlands!

Get into Law Conference

This is a reminder that students still have time to sign up for the Get into Law conference in June! This is a full guide to the UCAS process for Law degrees, where I’ll provide my insight as a Judge into what they need to stand out in a highly competitive application pool.

As a Judge, I will share my insight into law and offer my best advice for building an application to the best law schools in the country. Please feel free to forward this information to your students so that they can get involved! Tickets are £15 to cover administrative and technological costs.

Summer Work, Southam, School Leavers age 18 and above

Local company in Southam, RepairTech Ltd (, is looking for students aged 18 or above for summer work commencing June 2023 to September 23.

Ideally 5 days per week Monday to Friday, but some 4 day week options available.

Pay is £10.42 per hour (not age related, this applies to all).

Role: You will be taught how to repair and assemble Nintendo games consoles by their official UK repair centre. No previous or technical experience required. To perform this role well you will need:

  • Ability to follow instructions
  • A level of dexterity (small items and using small screwdrivers)
  • Attention to detail
  • Reliable with good time keeping
  • Good work ethic

Empowering future NHS workers

Chief Midwife Mentor Tanya will be hosting the Virtual Get into Midwifery Conference, sharing her own experiences as a midwife and offering tailored advice to aspiring midwives on personal statements, applications, interviews, and gaining relevant work experience.


Sunday 4th June 10am – 5pm

The next session for the NHS Healthcare Work Experience programme launches on Sunday 4th June! A strong record of work experience is essential for all applications to healthcare careers, including nursing, midwifery, paramedicine, occupational therapy, radiography, and many more!

The NHS interdisciplinary team has a very unique way of operating, so I encourage all students interested in healthcare or working for the NHS to join.

University of Lincoln taster days

Our ‘Be Inspired’ Enrichment events offer students so much more than just a taster session. They can get a feel for a subject area, while getting to test-drive a selection of specific degree programmes, helping to familiarise them with new, exciting fields and courses. These practical, on-campus sessions place students in our modern facilities, next to our academic experts.

Engineering Apprentice – Technical Project Management


At LEONI there is an opportunity of completing your studies, while learning on the job and earning money. Completing a Product Design and Development Engineer Apprenticeship – Level 6. You will be involved in Technical Project Management, Design (CAD & 2D Drawing), DVP (Design Verification Planning) etc.
