In order kick start the Human Rights Week, Southam’s Amnesty Society were invited to Amnesty International Human Rights Action Centre in London. Students networked with other human rights groups and talks were based on Children’s rights. It was a great event and students learnt a lot about grassroot activism and active campaigning about rights of the child.

Campaign Stalls
The stall on Monday was a great success. The focus was on Qatar and LGBTQ, some students from the school took part in signing pledges of support for those denied rights on the grounds of gender. Today’s focus will be on issues surrounding racism and discrimination.
Come along to the stall during lunch and find out more.
