Times are tough but education rolls on. My Year 12 Food Science and Nutrition students have been working hard on a MOCK piece of coursework over the last couple of weeks. Their brief was to design and make a 3 course meal for 2 people in 3 hours. Their target group was teenagers in a hotel setting. They researched the nutritional needs of teenagers and a wide range of hotel menus to help them with their final menu design.
With fantastic parental support, equipment borrowed from school and the use of “Live Teams” my wonderful students produced the most amazing dishes in 3 hours! I am so proud of everyone and can’t wait to have them back in school cooking in front of me rather than on a computer screen.
