Day Trip to Stratford
Southam and Hölderlin students experienced a Shakespearean lesson in the actual schoolroom were the Bard of Avon himself was taught once as a boy. The students made gains in Latin and enjoyed their quill skills. We discovered that Mr Holfelder looks a little like Professor Snape in an Elizabethan school teacher’s dress. A day in Stratford would not be complete without a stroll to the RSC and Shakespeare’s birth place, and the Exchange would not be complete without Mrs Martin, who nurtured German and English relations successfully for years. Much fun was had in the evening at ten pin bowling.
